We’re Back!!!

Posted by Nivenka On May - 21 - 2007

Due to a routing issue experienced with our hosting provider we were down most of the day today.  Then mysteriously one of the main files that runs the site was missing.  Luckly I keep a backup copy of everything I install and was able to restore it.

The files have been restored and the route to the database has been revived, and we are back. Whoohooo, man I hope that never happens again.  :-/

Purgatorio Release Date Details

The Rogue Dao Team feels confident that they will complete Purgatorio in time for a Summer release, but an exact release date is contingent on a wide variety of factors

NWNP Episode 26 - Rogue Dao Studios

Posted by Nivenka On May - 18 - 2007

This weeks Episode 26 hit the net, it also is the first of our new format. You might notice that it’s actually longer than previous shows, and we stated we were going to try to go shorter. So what’s up with that, you ask? Well, Michele got such an awesome interview with the Rogue Dao Studios we just had to put it all in there. ;-)

Remove Intro Movies in NWN and NWN 2

Posted by Nivenka On May - 12 - 2007

After running a few months on the 1.05.912 patch for NWN2, I realized I hadn’t turned off the start up movies. Since I had to go look it up again I thought I would pass it along. It was very simple and this one method works for both NWN and NWN 2.

All you have to do is open the nwn.ini file and in the [Display Options] section add this line “Disable Intro Movies=1″. The difference in NWN and NWN 2 is where this file is. For NWN, if you installed to the default location, you will found it in C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN. For NWN 2 it will be in My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2.

Here is what the display section of my NWN 2 nwn.ini file looks like:

[Display Options]
FullScreen=1
Width=1280
Height=1024
RefreshRate=60
Gamma=1.041000
Disable Intro Movies=1

I love removing these once I have watched them, cause heck it is about playing the game right? This tip gets me to the game that much faster.

New Release Schedule

Posted by Nivenka On May - 11 - 2007

Due to scheduling issues and our very demanding employer working our tails off, there will not be a podcast this week.
The team has discussed it and came to an agreement that going forward we will only be doing episode on a bi-weekly basis. We are also making a shift in format to try to get the podcast produced and released more quickly. The new format will consist of Community News in a quick-shot format, and a main topic or interview every week. We are going to work on having more interviews then we currently do. This will bring the show length to about 30 minutes and we should be able to get it out the night it is recorded, which means the news won’t be stale by the time you hear it.

So catch us next week for Episode 26, when we will be discussing the Cleric class.

Until then, get in game, and level up!

NWNP Episode 25 - Classes: The Bard

Posted by Nivenka On May - 4 - 2007

This week Jay, Trey, and Michele take us on a fun ride through Neverwinter Nights.

We continue our Character Creation discussion with the Bard Class this week. I would like to appeal to our listeners regarding contests, is that something we should pursue? Is that something you are interested in, does it make you listen or not? Please either post a comment or email us directly, we need your input.

Speaking of input, we would love to get more community driven content. We thought the Mod Spotlight was a great idea for Module Developers to get the word out about what they are doing. But it hasn’t been as well received as hoped. So, the idea here is that anyone can submit a Mod Spotlight, heck we don’t care, submit an audio comment about your last DM session, tell a funny story about when you played on Dasaria, or a quest that went horribly bad. Or if you figured out the best way to play a Cleric through Bruce Nielson’s Light Reborn Module Night, lord knows Jay didn’t, share it.

We are also looking for people to help with gathering interviews, co-hosting from time to time, and web and graphics help. We want to make this podcast the best resource for information and fun about Neverwinter Night, but we need your help.

Until next week,
