Welcome to Netheril Rising, a Neverwinter Nights 1 persistent roleplaying server set in the Forgotten Realms. The setting is focused on the ancient past of the Forgotten Realms, specifically the early history of the Netheril Empire. The main settlement of the server is the town of Hadrian; a border town recently settled by the Netherese on the very edge of the expanding Netheril Empire. Though the Netheril Empire is powerful, it is still in it’s infancy and far from the Arcane power of Forgotten Realm lore.

Darkness Enthralled Part 1: Back Tracking
“After awakening in a field surrounded by bodies, you struggle to regain your memories and understand what exactly happened to you the night prior. Plagued by odd nightmares and unexplainable coincidences, you begin to realize there is something sinister at work here. The town of Darren offers you a safe haven and a chance to take back what’s yours from the Darkness that Enthralls around you.”
FEATURES:
- A huge focus on environment and atmosphere in 70 areas. I didn’t stop working on an area until I felt it met my highest expectations.
- Extensive use of CEP to help make unique creatures, items, and placeables like you’ve never seen.
- 35 unique side quests, most of which chain multiple times.
- 15,700 words of dialogue make up an unsuspectingly dramatic story with twists and turns that holds you in tight.
- Creativity you won’t see in any other series.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CEP 2.3/2.4
- Community Music Pack
(CMP_hak.zip, CMP_v1.0.A.zip, and CMP_v1.0.C.zip required. DO NOT USE .hak included in CMP_v1.0.A.zip!)
- Fresh level 1 character.
PLAYER’S NOTES:
- This module is very placeable heavy, some lower end computers may have trouble loading certain areas.
- Although there is a bleeding system, death is PERMANENT, save OFTEN.
- Rest requires an inn room or a tent kit. I did this to discourage people finding the closest free bed and continually go there rather than an inn.
- There are no henchmen with exception to certain sections of the modules. This module focuses on your character.
- This module REQUIRES a fresh level 1 character, scripts won’t fire correctly if you tamper with XP.
- If you use a camera mod, I discourage having the camera extended out all the way before area transitioning. I’ve had crashes.
- This series is meant for a certain breed of NWN player. One that can enjoy roleplaying and take a second to look around at the details. There is plenty of combat but heavy hack-n-slash types may find it boring.
PERSONAL NOTE:
I put a LOT of work into the beginning of this series and truly only want it to bring some kind of enjoyment into your life. If you enjoyed it, hated it, or thought it was okay, please comment here so at least I know there was more than some non-emotional cyborg race downloading my module. o.o I expect there to be some bugs or issues, and I will try to update them as much as possible, but I won’t have nearly as much time to dedicate for the next couple of months. This also played a hand in the time I wish I had to develop this module. I got it to a point I could be proud of but there still maybe some small mistakes (including spelling and loading screens). I just didn’t have enough time to test and test and test. I apologize if this hinders anyone’s experience. With this said, I do think a lot of people will enjoy playing what I’ve created, and I personally thank you for the download.

Thanks to the Alpha Testers: kamal, Arkalezth, and CaptainZombieYeti. With their help I’ve finally reached a point where the Beta Version(which includes the last parts of the mod just up to before the ending scenes) is now ready.
Now with the Beta’s Release more help is needed to iron out the last bugs, and other mis-sights that remain and some that may have been introduced. So if time allows I would appreciate it if any new or old testers can do a play-through of this mod to help identify those issues before its release. As always credit will be given to those who do. Thanks.
Tintable lion, tiger and bear models that are white by default. Tiger and lion skins were originally by Hellfire and Cyphre, and are part of Cyphre’s Companions Pack.

It’s close to midnight, and something evil’s lurking in the dark…
Somewhere south of Buldamar, a salt mining city in the eastern Shaar, the caravan you are escorting has been waylaid by undead. With the help of Mychael, son of Jaxx – a bard of some renown – you have little choice but to investigate the source of the undead.

The spell clock is a new element in the NWN2 user interface. It’s like a digital alarm clock intended to count spell duration (but it could also count any other time period). It could be very useful when casting long term buffing spells and want to know how much time is left before they expire.

Announcement from: http://www.playneverwinter.com/transition
We’re happy to report that Cryptic Studios is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Perfect World Entertainment. These are exciting times for Cryptic! As we integrate more completely with Perfect World, our companies will come together to deliver quality MMO experiences.
As part of our separation from Atari and integration into Perfect World, we must make a variety of changes to our products, websites and services. Most of the more immediate changes players will see are cosmetic or are back-end modifications, but there are areas that you should be aware of. For example, we’re swapping out logos, revising the Privacy Policy and changing Atari Tokens to Cryptic Points.
Naturally, you have questions and we’d like to answer them as best we can. So, please check out our FAQ and our Q&A Discussion Thread linked below to learn more about what this transition means for you.
This hak contains clothing, helmets, tails and wings. It is not CEP friendly and is not meant to be a plug and play type of hak. You will need some skill in combining the 2da files and quite possibly renaming the files themselves if you want to use the content.
21 New Containers by Borden Ha’elven
7 Containers in High, Medium & Low versions. Their 2da entries are from 1000 to 1020 in the placeables 2da. The small one is best used just for jewels, gold and other small stuff.
Please join Brian Bloom and Ben aka Aroen, as they interview the creators of the NWN2 Persistent World, 3rd Age, Rise of Sauron. Brian and Ben also do the Origins 2011 wrap up and cover a security issue caused by the Bioware Community Server being down. You don’t want to miss this one!

NWNServerConsole is a replacement for the broken ServerMonitorConsole remote server management applet. It allows remote administration of the player list and ban lists of an nwn2server.exe instance (if the server’s server admin password is configured), including the ability to unban players without a server restart.
Please join Brian Bloom, Ben H.(Aroen), Douglas Bowser, Charles Bowser, and Mike Johnson (our on location media producer) as we make our epic appearance at the 2011 Origins Game Fair in downtown Columbus, OH. While we were there, we got a grand tour of the event, thanks to staff at the GAMA media/press staff. We cover new NWN Modules and modules/PW’s close to their Hall of Fame status.
While we were at the game fair, we had the honor of interviewing Shane Hensley, the Executive Producer of Cryptic’s upcoming title, Neverwinter. At the end of the interview, we have included a bonus interview of GMX (Geek Media Expo) as they discuss their upcoming events that pertain to D&D content authors.
With over 20 years of experience in the interactive entertainment industry, Shane started out as a freelance designer and writer and has worked on hundreds of computer, card, role-playing and miniature games, as well as novels, for over a dozen companies and his own company, Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Shane joined Cryptic Studios in 2004 as a lead on City of Heroes/Villains and on a number of prototype projects. He left Cryptic for a brief period to create his own games and was appointed head of several studios in Arizona before coming back “home” to work with his many great friends at Cryptic. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in History and Political Science, served in the VA National Guard, and received his MA in Special Operations from the American Military University.

The Relbonian Chronicles is set in its own unique world and mythology, designed to have its story unfold through the participation of several key characters.
As such, “Chapter One” is designed to be played with the Dwarven Fighter called “Gerbilaf Bandiwide” which will be included with this module. Please note that playing with any other character will not only spoil your enjoyment but also render parts of the module impossible to play.

Set against a dazzling, star-lit bohemian world, CITY invites you to explore an original setting inspired by Victorian England and 1930′s New York.
