You know ffbj just posted a comment on the last episode with a suggestion of someone to interview, and I got to thinking you know maybe we dont say this enuff.
If anyone wants to record interviews for the podcast they are welcomed and would actually give us something that most podcast dont have, community content. HA!! Just like our games!! HA!! That's it!
Community content for the podcast!! This podcast has always been a community podcast. And we are finally on our way to that total goal! We now have several members offering news, mini-reviews for our Cookie Jar, and building graphics for us! Vaevictus is working on a new segment that we may reveal soon! And we may even have a website programmer helping us out soon too!
So if you want to go wild! Here are some ideas I used to build our NWNP Jobs page and I originally posted it only to our team, but here you go!!
For 2009 Id like to start having segments that can be done by whoever wants to do them, or recruit community members to do them. The segments wouldn't have to be done ever week, but periodically to be effective. The segments would need to be 3 - 10 minutes long and always focus on a certain topic. Informative and funny too.
Id like get your initial thoughts and which ones you be interested in doing, or who we could recruit to do any of these. These are in no certain order. To hear examples of what Im talking about listen to some of the podcast that are here:
http://www.ddocast.com/1) Mod Spotlight Segment - revive the mod spotlight except this time someone is dedicated to talking to Mod makers and PWs and offering to create spotlights for them.
2) NWN and NWN2 Mod Review Segment
3) Classes, Races, Sub Races - This one could be really fun to do by informing on these while playing them out in different voices/characters.
4) Character Creation - Another that could be played out using characters as they equip themselves. Possibly 3 and 4 could be in one segment melding together.
5) NWN1 and NWN2 Gaming Tips - this one is pretty self explained.
6) Game Patch Updates
7) Spoof "Ads" - these would be about objects found in game, potions, spells, weapons, scrolls, etc. Ex: "Feeling weak? Then you need Pablo's Potion of Strength! Giving you 10X Str. In no time you will carrying all your companion's junk, and your horse too!" These should be gut busting funny!
8) This Just In Segment - Your a headline news reporter reporting on things that happen in the NWN OC, NWN2 OC and the expansions. This could get really creative!
9) Scripting Segment - Informative segment about scripts and how to write them.
10) Custom Content Segment - Informative segment about CC, whats out there, and how to use or get it.
We can then put these segments to be played by themselves on the front page too.
