Just so everyone knows. Im starting a campaign to rid our community of all flamers that only post rude, insult remarks to and about others in our community that make it great. (not me though, Im by no means great)

I will be talking about this in every episode I am apart of from now own until I think they are all gone. When I see one on any community forum, I am immediately reporting them for removal.

If we let this continue without doing anything all the nice and polite people will leave, just as some already have.

Here is what I sent to the mods on the bioware forums:

Hello and first off I would like to thank you for being a just moderator of these forums which are still a very big part of what we all call the NWN Community. And you are one of the leaders I believe. And sometimes that is a thankless job. I thank you.

I am messaging you for two reasons, first I would like to report offensive language in the this post http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/my ... &forum=122
by someone called nightinerr. If this is not their first offense I respectively request them banned from these forums.

Second, I am getting very concerned over all the posters who think they can come into our forums and just flame and blast everyone for no reason other than to be just plain mean and rude. Often using foul language and cursing, and insulting.

My concern is that I dont want these forums to die. If it is over-run by these flamers, the majority of the community that loves this community will stop coming here. This bashers seem to be getting more and more in numbers, and are becoming more emboldened in their rude behavior.

I think its time we did something to stop this. Ive sat on the sidelines watching and Im tired of these kind of people in our community.

I am pretty sure you and the other moderators know who these are. I am calling for formal removal of them from our community.

I understand you have complaining every once in while, but cursing blatant flaming and insulting rude remarks just because they know they can is unacceptable.

I am formally requesting that you and the other moderators remove all long time abusers from these forums.

I am also going to start my own campaign to get these people removed from our community. Its time to take the community back. Im very passionate about this and look forward to your response, and hope that you will pass this on to all the other moderators.

I understand completely and believe me, we've been discussing the behaviour in the MoW forums for a while now. I've personally been in contact with few of these people via PM and have seen some improvement in behaviour by some of them (not all). I didn't see the post by Nightinerr until after I got your PM and the thread had already been locked. Rest assured, I'd have acted had I seen it. I'll have to get in touch with Tiberius to see if he's done any follow up to that lock or not.

One silver lining here though: check out how many people rose to your defense in the thread after that rude post. I thought that was nice to see and I think it indicates there is still a great community here lurking in the wings. I guess most people are just waiting until MoW is released before they'll start posting regularly again.

But anyway, I've brought up the sour atmosphere and the handful of rude/trollish posters on the MoW forum among the moderators already. We've been discussing it. I do think you'll see a great improvement once the game is actually released (and I'm confident that it really will be soon this time. )

If, however, you are subject to rude comments like happened in that locked thread, or you see something posted in the forums that you think it over the line, feel free to toss any of us moderators a PM and we'll try to get on it asap.

Thanks for the PM, and a big thanks to you and the others at NWN Podcast for the great things you're doing for the community. Keep it up, and try not to let a few rude people get you down. I know your efforts are appreciated by a lot of people.

I couldn't agree with you more Trey. Of course, being an AME member, I guess I'm part of all the conspiracies along with Q.

I really hate stupid people who have no affiliation one way or the other fueling the fire just for the sake of watching it burn. You have my 100% support in your efforts.

what the hell... simple go to NWCOnn link would be nice but they lamed him out of it wtf, Yet some of them have a point he need to introduce it correctly and it will be alright, and listen to people, Kirt had a good advice there!
